Job Summary

We are a BCBA owned and operated in-home ABA Therapy Practice located in Columbus, Ohio. We are seeking a Behavior Technician who is committed to working with individuals with Autism in the home and community setting through treatment, to facilitate their growth and development. We're looking for candidates with strong written and verbal communication skills, and a background in behavioral programs. A successful candidate will work well individually as well as part of an enthusiastic team that supports the individuals in our care. Candidates will need to be available from 9am-6:00pm Monday-Friday for Full-time status.

Job Duties

Responsibilities:

  • Have a basic knowledge of behavior interventions for individuals with developmental disabilities.

  • Monitor and record behaviors of individuals with developmental disabilities as appropriate.

  • Communicate and interact with other staff members and families as appropriate.

  • Follow behavioral and medical protocols when necessary.

  • Help administer assessments under the direction of the supervising BCBA

  • Provide quality 1:1 instruction to clients in their home and community settings to improve social skills, communication, and behavior.

  • Record objective session data to reflect client’s progress

  • Collect and graph data daily; Replace targets and programs when mastered

  • Create a fun and meaningful environment that will make a life-long impact for our learners!

  • Must be willing to travel to and from client homes between the hours of 9:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday.

  • Maintain RBT log based on BACB guidelines

  • Adhere to scheduled work hours and scheduled student sessions

  • Report to work each day, on time, and prepared to complete job responsibilities

  • Approach job with a positive attitude.

  • Communicate clearly and in a professional manner to coworkers and supervisors regarding student needs, personal needs, questions, interventions, schedules, and conflicts.

  • Communicate clearly and in a professional manor to parents

Experience

High School diploma required, preferably with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, education, social work, or related field

  • Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, specifically Autism Spectrum Disorders, in homes and community settings

  • Reliable means of transportation to travel to case locations
